Built in 1912, this beautiful historical home in Pasadena, California has so much craftsman charm. Both the dilapidated exterior facade was restored to its original state and the interior of the home completely transformed. The client absolutely loved the exterior craftsman style that Pasadena is so well-known for, but did not necessarily desire it for the interior. Firstly, the wall dividing the kitchen and dining area was knocked down, giving way to an open concept design that instantly transported the space out of the 1900’s. A hurdle arose when space the only space for a W&D was in the kitchen. As a design solution, a custom oversized cabinet armed with doors that tuck into the cabinet body that allows to comfortably utilizing and hide when needed! The cabinets were painted a deep bold blue to offset all the tranquil colors throughout the home. Over and over the theme was repeated throughout the home. From the gentle tones on the tiles to the sophisticated plumbing fixture, everything selected exuded peace.
