A consultation meeting is typically conducted at the job site and runs for about 1 hour. During this time, we will walk the property and discuss your budget as well as your wants and needs. This is the perfect time to share what isn’t working and how the space would ideally be utilized. The more you share with me during this initial meeting about how you want your dream space to be, the better I can meet your needs. I will make suggestions for the spaces and take quick measurements. All the information gathered will be used to prepare a proposal, presentation and ultimately your build out.

A full service design is by far, the best service because, well, you wouldn’t necessarily take the brush of an Artist to create your own painting… you let the artist paint! After the initial consultation, a full design service for your project may entail proposed floor plans, elevations, lighting plan, tile design, plumbing, furniture, paint, window treatment or wallpaper selections. I present using mood boards with swatches of finishes or 3D renderings to fully translate the vision I have for the space. If we are designing custom furniture, the presentation would also include shop drawings with measurements. Everything down to the smallest detail, like grout color, would be selected to eliminate the headache of having to make these decisions mid-project. Once we are happy with the selections, I begin all the purchasing and coordinating of deliveries. The concept design would be reviewed with the lead contractor to ensure accuracy. Regular site visits will be conducted as needed until the project is fully complete.

Shopping appointments are for clients seeking immediate design solutions without committing to full design services. Perhaps your contractor is pressing you to make decisions on tile or plumbing fixtures or maybe your project might be ready for new window treatments or a few key furniture pieces but don’t know where to get started. During our consultation, I will identify what is needed, take a couple measurements and snap some photos to ensure our selections are appropriate. We will then schedule a 5 hour shopping appointment where I will take you to some of my favorite local shops and help tackle your shopping list.
