Tucked away in a lovely cul de sac, I was called to this home for a little refresh. The client was looking for help with kitchen cabinet color/s, countertop, backsplash, plumbing fixtures and flooring. I always like to analyze what the home asks for and in this case, it asked for a traditional look with hints of modern. We created this juxtapose effect by selecting a glossy white beveled arabesque tile and a stainless steel brick mosaic and combined both a granite countertop for the wall cabinets and a solid colored quartz that picked up the tones in the granite for the island. One of my favorite things about this project was the secret doors on the left side of the pantry (go ahead, scroll down and see if you notice it’s there). I was able to convince the client to continue the cabinetry as if nothing was there. This was an amazing decision because it gave the kitchen a complete look without being disturbed by an interior door. This “speak-easy” space became the perfect space to house the screens for the security camera. How extravagant is that?
